Welcome to the Official Brown Beret Org Website!
TO SOLDIERS
Our job is to train you to be a soldier, the best that you can be. We only want the best in this organization. Yes we are strict, but even then we don't think it's not very hard. Its all about sincerity, integrity, honor, dependability, reliability, sacrifice, and being a person of your word. We are always active, so we are looking for people who want to take their activism to a new level, to rise from a mere activist to become a Revolutionary, a Protector! There are other groups that are full of wash outs and those we kicked out. They weren't Brown Beret material so they joined together to create Autonomous groups where they don't train, don't have rules, no structure, no discipline, no honor. We are real Brown Berets, and if you want to be part of us, this is the path you must take. If your heart is not in it, don't "fake the funk". We actually respect it more when you tell us up front that you can't do it. We are always keeping track of attendance and level of participation. If we see you are not participating we'll have a talk with you, and if it continues you will be dropped from recruitment. But don't get nervous, you will do well if you're heart is in it. Here are the steps and what we expect.
Attend Information and Orientation meetings
Attend 2 events in which we are participating with security or community service. Be in all black plain clothes and ready to serve.
Get your recruit uniform at the 3rd event.
Start your Point tracking system. You are required to complete 100 points by the end of the year. Points are earned through participation. This will be explained more in detail.
Show up to as many “non-mandatory” events as possible. We do call out a lot of events with very short notice, they are not mandatory, but your presence is appreciated and noted.
Show up to every “mandatory” event. You will be excused for emergencies, work if you cannot get out of working that day, or pre-planned vacation with prior notification. Just don’t do “No call, no show”.
If you cannot show up to an event, share the crap out of it! Share our pictures and videos. When possible donate gas or food money for the soldiers that are going. You can send it to the Organization's cash-app, with a note saying what its for, and we'll make sure it goes directly to that.
If you are in an area without an active unit, you will be asked to carry the weight of starting a new unit. You will have to network with as many local community organizations as possible, show up to their events, volunteer your help as a Brown Beret, recruit, and build. Keep your ears to the ground attentive to the needs of your community, and get out there and be a voice for the voiceless, and fight for those who can’t fight for themselves!
Participate at every event, be fully present. Don’t take your wife and kids and expect to go home early because they are bored or they might be put in danger. You are there to fulfill your duties, sometimes it's best to leave them at home so you won’t be distracted or worried that something might happen to them. There will be times that it will be appropriate to bring them, we will notify everyone what kind of event it will be ahead of time.
Download the Signal App and participate in any discussion. STAY IN COMMUNICATION WITH US! Don't ghost us!
If you see something happening in front of you that you’re able to handle, your duty is to respond as a Beret, even if not in uniform, or if you’re alone. Always SERVE, OBSERVE, PROTECT. We are not law enforcement, we are Protectors.
File information reports on any persons who pose a threat to our communities whether you see them online or in person. Find out all information on them that you can gather, name, address, age, height, weight, picture of their face, report what they did and gather evidence including pictures, videos, screen shots, etc. and send it in to National Command.
Recruit. Look for people who are conscious or at least somewhat conscious, who are ready and willing to be soldiers and fit our requirements.
Obey the rules as outlined in our Brown Book (READ THE BROWN BOOK!)
Study up on Chicano Studies
Exercise and train to fight, either in paid classes or at home with a punching bag and sparring partner.
Come to boot camp ready. There are 4 boot camps a year, you must attend at least 3 of them in your first year.
Do not add a lot of our people on to your social media. In fact it’s best to just add our Comandante and Sub-Comandante and not add anyone else. It’s for your own privacy and protection.
Do not publicly tell people you are being recruited to be a Beret. Only tell the people you trust. Anonymity at this stage of your membership is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
Wear a mask when in public in your recruit uniform as much as possible to protect your identity and if people ask to get your information for whatever excuse they give you, don’t give it, they might be trying to dox you. Send them to one of our officers or direct them to our website. If they are interested in joining, get their info and our officers will contact them.
Work to build up the Organization. Look for ways that you can contribute and help it grow. You get out of this Organization what you put into it. We are a family, growing together, building up soldiers, empowering each other, protecting our communities. As we have more resources and opportunities to offer through our co-ops and non-profit, you and your family will benefit from it. We take care of our own!
