The Brown Berets, as a historic Chicano Revolutionary Organization, will remain committed to their foundational principles; anyone claiming to be a Brown Beret must embrace Chicano Revolutionary ideals, as our name reflects our mission.

“Brown” is for the Chicano community and “Berets” - symbolizing the soldiers’ fight for our indigenous empowerment. That means, our people's issues will always be our first priority.

Although we believe in supporting intersectional issues, those interested in broader ideals or issues unrelated to Chicanismo, should consider other spaces.
